HORSEBACK RIDING and EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES

Holly River State Park offers overnight camping with horses. Advanced reservations are required to reserve one or more of the three campsites (site numbers 79, 80, 81)  at Holly River State Park. Corrals are included in the campsite reservation.

Two trails are designated for equestrian use and indicated on the park map.  Equestrian trail names are Ridge Road Trail and Rock Camp Trail. There is no charge to ride horse on trails designated for horseback riding. There is a $5 fee/per horse for day-use of a corral.

There are four trail heads with trailer parking and those locations are Carpenter Pavilion, Klee Farm Road, Bendertown Road, and Buckwheat Church. Vehicle roads leading to trailer parking at equestrian trail heads at Holly River State Park are narrow and with curves.  Please use caution when trailering horses to enjoy the equestrian corrals and trails at Holly River State Park.

See Holly River State Park Map for equestrian trails locations.

The campground map indicates corral locations.
